Thailand offers travel agents new training incentives – 27 Nov 2006

The Tourism Authority of Thailand is planning greater incentives to attract travel agents to its online training.

Travel agents taking part in the training programme can get a free bottle of red or white Monsoon Valley Wine, courtesy of the Siam Winery. On a first come, first served basis, agents can claim their prize when they complete the nine-module training course.

The Authority is also offering 10 meal-for-two vouchers for The Mango Tree Thai restaurant in London each month from January 2007, as well as 10 cases of Singha Beer.

The offer is part of a marketing campaign which also includes an improved electronic news letter and more fam trips, the Authority said.

Abigail Silver, marketing and PR manager, leisure, for the Tourism Authority of Thailand in the UK said: “We hope that these great new incentives will inspire more travel agents to register to our online training programme, which already has attracted more than 1,500 agents.”

The Authority also plans more agents in person next year to update them about its latest campaigns and news from Thailand.
