Royal Air Maroc begins its privatisation process on December 15. Banks will advise the Moroccan government on themake-up of potential buyers for the 40% of the state-owned carrier to be sold. Existing shareholders Air France and Iberia could be willing to increase their stakes – they hold 4% and 2% respectively. Capital raised from the flotation will be spent on new aircraft and the purchase of Air Senegal.
