GROUP finance director Tim Byrne has been confirmed as the group managing director of Airtours while Airtours Holidays managing director Chris Mottershead will head up its operations in Canada.
Both moves were exclusively revealed by Travel Weekly.
Byrne takes over from Harry Coe who will remain as a non-executive director and will also work on special projects.
Mottershead becomes chief executive officer of its North America Leisure Group on January 1 following the decision of Leo Desrochers to return to the aviation industry.
Airtours Holidays deputy managing director Richard Carrick has been appointed MD with finance director Will Waggott now deputy MD.
In addition, UKLG chairman Lars Thuesen will now concentrate on developing its businesses in Western Europe, including Germany. He also becomes chairman of the Accommodation Division following the retirement of Hugh Collinson.
UKLG chief executive officer Peter Rothwell has joined the main board.
