Norwegian Cruise Line’s advent calendar promotion – 1 Dec 2006

Norwegian Cruise Line is giving travel agents the chance to win a cruise with an advent calendar sent out to promote its new corporate image.

As part of an information pack detailing the cruiseline’s new branding and its “rebellious fish” logo, the festive calendar contains 24 milk chocolate fish.

However, five of the 3,000 being sent out will contain a single white fish, the lucky agent who finds one winning an NCL cruise.

NCL UK general manager Francis Riley said: “The new branding represents an exciting time for NCL. It is the culmination of six years’ hard work establishing our nuique Freestyle Cruising concept and represents the way forward for NCL with the introduction of the new F3 ships between 2009 and 2011.

“The new branding is a big departure to how NCL has looked and sounded in the past and to make sure our travel partners are with us every step of the way, we developed this pack to ensure that they completely understand the new branding.”

The new look will be officially unveiled tonight in Southampton during inaugural celebrations on new ship Norwegian Pearl. NCL was expecting 3,000 guests to see the ship which features the first bowling alley at sea.

The brand emphasises NCL’s non-traditional, free-spirited approach to cruising and its trademark Freestyle Cruising brand.
