Elegant Resorts plans stock market flotation – 5 Dec 2006

Elegant Resorts, a luxury operator that boasts pop stars, royals and millionaires among its clients is planning to float on the stock exchange.


Chester-based Elegant Resorts sells tailor-made luxury holidays and employs 200 people in the UK, Barbados, Dubai and Mauritius.


It has announced plans to float on the AIM stock exchange in early 2008, a move that would generate cash for acquisitions, according to managing director Ian Thomson.


The company was established in 1998 and is on track to make £1.5 million profit this year from 24,000 customers and a turnover of £60 million which is expected to rise to £70 million next year.
