Celebrity chef Aldo Zilli says overhauling Thomsonfly’s inflight menus was the “biggest challenge” of his life, but he believes airline food will never be the same again.
Thomson bosses joined Zilli at his Soho restaurant Fish to unveil the food this week, but not much fish will be on the menu after Zilli explored the limits on cooking at 36,000 feet.
A Thomson spokesman said: “Aldo’s vision was to be tossing salads for 250 passengers. He wanted fish, but it stunk out the aircraft.”
