NCL hails success of UK’s first gay cruise – 3 Jan 2007

Norwegian Cruise Line has said it hopes to build on the success of the UK’s first ever gay cruise that is due to set sail from Dover next May.

The cruisline has teamed up with The Big Cruise for the two-night trip to St Peterport in Guernsey for the full ship charter on Norwegian Dream.

NCL head of sales Nick Wilkinson said: “We are extremely pleased to be providing this charter. NCL is all about Freestyle Cruising and charter cuises of this kind suit our product fantastically. We hope to continue our working relationship with The Big Cruise and organise similar charters in the future.”

Prices for the cruise start at £1,255 per person and according to Tom Moore from The Big Cruise tickets are being snapped up fast.

“This is a revolutionary move. There has never before been a gay charter cruise departing from the UK and we are extremely proud to be the furst company to organise one, with the help of NCL.

“The success we are seeing with this voyage means that we will definitely be looking at more opportunities to work with NCL in the future.”
