New Scottish flight for Scandinavian Airlines – 16 Jan 2007

Scandinavian Airlines System is launching an additional Scottish flight to its UK service.

As of March 25, the airline will have twice-daily services from Aberdeen to Copenhagen following the introduction of the new morning flight, which will complement the existing evening one.

Prices lead in at £72 for a one-way flight, including taxes.

SAS general manager United Kingdom & Ireland Lars-Ove Filipson said the launch of the extra flight is due to passenger growth on the route increasing by 20%.

Filipson added the growth is on the back of Aberdeen being a key energy market city,  however, he believed it can also become a popular leisure route.
