Superbreak pays £3.2 million for West End Theatre Bookings – 29 Jan 2007

Superbreak Mini-Holidays has bought London theatre ticket agent West End Theatre Bookings in a bid to bolster its London theatre-inclusive breaks.



In a deal worth a total of £3.2 million, Superbreak Mini-Holidays, which is owned by Holidaybreak, will take on the existing West End Theatre Bookings management team.


The company’s best selling shows are The Sound of Music, Dirty Dancing, Lion King and Mamma Mia. Its sell via its call centre and West End outlets, as well as websites www.uktickets.co.uk, wwww.londontickets.co.uk and www.westendtheatrebookings.com.



Carl Michel, chief executive of Holidaybreak, said: “The acquisition of West End Theatre Bookings strengthens our position in London theatre-inclusive breaks on our product packaging strategy.”



West End Theatre Bookings made a profit before tax of £0.4 million on revenue of £9.1 million in the twelve months up to September 30, 2006.
