Winter product focuses on regional departures

UNIJET is offering more regional departures in its winter sun programme for 2000/2001 to meet growing demand from clients taking flights from local airports.

The new departures, using Air 2000, are from Blackpool-Tenerife, Exeter-Tenerife, Glasgow-Faro and Leeds Bradford -Tenerife, Lanzarote and the Costa del Sol.

They take the number of departure airports in the programme to 14.

Sales and marketing director Alan Hopley said: “As Unijet, we were very strong from Gatwick and Manchester but agents tell us that passengers want more regional departures and now we are part of First Choice we can do that.”

The new brochure, valid from October 2000 to April 2001, features 11 winter sun destinations.

Hopley said they are the same as Unijet is featuring this winter except Eilat which will be in the second edition.

Overall capacity is up 13% to 60,000.

Lead-in price is £189 per person for seven nights’ self-catering at the Torre Ipanema Apartments in the Costa Blanca based on four people sharing.

Today’s Savings offer discounts of up to £179 per couple.
