The Athenaeum Hotel and Apartments in Piccadilly, London, has just refurbished its apartments. So how about booking into the retro styled ‘shagadellic’ room number 22? Prices start at £355 for a night including breakfast for two and champagne.
In the US head to the Pelican Hotel at Miami Beach and book into room 215, which the hotel has titled Best Whorehouse – yes really – decorated in opulent reds and velvets. It starts at $210 per night.
Or where better for romance than the Indian Ocean? For wannabe James Bonds looking to lure a willing Miss Moneypenny, suggest the Hilton Northolme, on Mahe in the Seychelles. Room 214 is dedicated to the playboy spy, in honour of his creator Ian Fleming, who often stayed on the island.
