UNIJET is to delay the launch of its bookable Web site until the middle of December.
Sales and marketing director Alan Hopley, who has been trialling a test site for the past three weeks, said it had been due to go live on December 1.
He added: “Mid-December looks more likely now. I want to be sure it works and is user-friendly before it goes live.
“We are late launching but that means we have been able to look at our rivals’ sites and hopefully ours will be better.”
Thomson, Airtours and Thomas Cook all have Web sites but they cannot yet be used to make a booking.
Hopley said Unijet will be selling flight-only sales and Suncars initially, with package holidays to follow in January.
“Inclusive holidays are more complex to sell,” he added.
He said Unijet is not launching the site to encourage direct bookings but that the Internet could not be ignored.
