After 38 years in the travel business I have been forced to take early retirement on health grounds. The first 10 years were in Manchester with Thomas Cook, the rest in the ferry industry with Townsend Thoresen, P&OEuropean Ferries and P&OStena Line.
During this time I have made a lot of friends, mainly in the retail trade, but also at coach companies and IToperators and, of course, the colleagues I worked with.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank them all for their support of the companies I represented.
