Low.Fare charter and no-frills flight booking tool launched – 15 Feb 2007

Travel Technology Show 2007

German technology firm Partners Software has launched its no-frills and charter booking platform Low.Fare in the UK.

The Low.Fare system, which is being used by music industry business travel agency The Appointment Group, works alongside any of the global distribution systems.

When an agent looks for a flight on a GDS the Low.Fare system automatically searches more than 90 no-frills or charter airlines’ websites.

The system can then make the booking with the no-frills or charter airline and will put the details into the agency’s back-office system.

Partners Software charges a transaction fee each time it makes a booking for an agency.

Managing director Kai Hannemann claimed the Low.Fare system can save an agency up to 20 minutes in searching the web looking for flights.

He said the launch of the product is part of a strategic effort to gain a foothold in the UK market.
