NCL pushes ‘affordable’ year-round Hawaii cruises – 15 Feb 2007

Norwegian Cruise Line has launched a brochure dedicated to Hawaii claiming to offer affordable holidays year-round on its NCL America fleet of three ships.

It was launched on Valentine’s Day and offers past customers booking before March 31 the chance to win flights to New York with American Airlines.

The 64-page brochure also offers free four-category stateroom upgrades on all ships, $300 onboard credit, discounts on flights and free UK connections.

UK general manager Francis Riley said NCL offers a unique cruise experience in Hawaii because its US flagged ships do not have to sail to a non-US ports, which means the entire itinerary is based in Hawaii’s many islands.

“I see Hawaii as the new Caribbean. Each island offers a diverse holiday experience. It has had a reputation as an expensive destination, but our new brochure will help reinforce how affordable cruising year-round in Hawaii can be.”

Ten-night flycruise packages lead in at £1,399 per person and 10-night cruises visiting Fanning Island and the Republic of Kiribati lead in at £1,499.
