A ‘sustainable holidays’ tab will be added to the online agency’s homepage, allowing customers to click through to a range of green holidays.

Director of travel John Bevan said: “The focus on the environment will lead to people researching and booking their holidays in a different way.”

Meanwhile, dynamic packaging customers will be able to offset their carbon emissions following a strong take-up on package holidays sales.

One in 10 of its package holiday customers offset their carbon emissions, thanks to an opt-out scheme brought in last year. Bevan admitted the move has hit sales because it adds an extra page to the booking process. However, almost £25,000 has been raised so far.
