Thomson Cruises says preparations are well underway for the debut of Calypso, the newest and smallest ship in its fleet.
The 486-passenger adult-only ship will be based in Thessaloniki, Greece, from March 31 offering sailings to Corfu, Albania, Parga, the Black Sea, Ukraine, Romania and Turkey.
Head of Thomson Cruises David Selby said the arrival of Calypso means the cruiseline will be the first to offer regular cruises in the region to the UK market.
“Preparations are going extremely well. Changes are being made to the ship to give an expansive feel on board. This programme is going to be a real hit with passengers.”
Flights are available from a range of UK airports and cruise and stay options are also available with a week’s accommodation in the Halkidiki area of Greece.
