Sabre has signed a new three year deal with British Airways to provide agents with full access to the airline’s fares and content.
The deal means agents will be required to join a new ‘opt-in’ programme to access the fares in return for “adjusted financial terms’ which have not been revealed. Sabre’s deal follows that of Galileo, which signed a similar ‘opt in’ deal with British Airways earlier this month.
Sabre senior vice-president, EMEA, Richard Adams said: “We are very pleased to have reached an agreement that ensures these priorities are addressed and that provides continued access to British Airways’ full content, which is so important for our customers to remain competitive and provide the service their customers expect.”
British Airways head of marketing and distribution Tiffany Hall said the deal with Sabre is an “important part of our overall marketing strategy.”
