Tour operator Jewel in the Crown Holidays has introduced accommodation-only options on its website backed by a 15% commission level for agents.
The company, which specialises in tours to Turkey and Goa and Kerala in India, has also added video clips of its hotels onto its Goa tours website.
Jewel’s managing director Platon Loizou said the move was a reaction to the changing nature of the travel market.
“We anticipate that during this season there will be a major shift away from traditional holiday booking with as much as 20% of the business being self-packaged by our customers,” he said.
