Trevor Harding is to continue to hold a senior role at Travel Weekly after his retirement this autumn by becoming lifetime vice president of the publication.
Harding, who is due to step down as Travel Weekly managing director at the end of September after 18 years, will assume his new title from October 1.
The new role means he will continue to represent Travel Weekly at key industry events, including Travel Weekly roadshows, and remain as a non-executive member of the management team.
Travel Weekly and TW Group publishing director Simon Ferguson said: “Trevor is a legend in the industry and we have created this position especially for him, in recognition of the remarkable contribution he has made to Travel Weekly and the industry.”
Harding said: “I’m very excited about continuing my long relationship with Travel Weekly after my retirement.”
