Caribbean supplement 2007

The Caribbean is all about flavours, and whether your clients are standing at a roadside fish grill or dining at celebrity-infested restaurants, they should prepare to have their tastebuds tantalised.

Each island has its own national dishes, plus unique twists on the regional favourites, and both are celebrated through festivals, street parties and good old-fashioned knees-ups.

The resorts and hotels are now waking up to the enormous importance of food and drink when attracting – and keeping –
discerning guests and are developing new restaurants, appointing celebrity chefs and stocking up their wine cellars faster than we can say ‘sante’.

So, we’ve met chefs at all-inclusive hotels and at 30,000ft above sea level, a sommelier of fine wine and a cocktail barman, and discovered some of the best restaurant tables on the islands – all in the name of bringing you this dedicated supplement that celebrates the best of food and drink in the Caribbean islands. Bon appetit.
