n airtours slashes sunbird cruise package
Airtours has cut the price of a 14-night Caribbean cruise on Sunbird by 41%. The voyage, which departs on December 13, calls at ports including Barbados, St Lucia and Grenada. Prices now lead in at £799 per person.
n holland america orders five new ships
Holland America has confirmed an order for the first of up to five new 1,800-passenger ships. The first 85,000-tonne vessel will be built at Italy’s Fincantieri shipyard for delivery in 2002. The decision was announced during inaugural celebrations for Holland America’s new ship, the 1,440-passenger Volendam, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
n Radisson drops costs of balcony prices
Radisson Seven Seas Cruises has reduced the price of a balcony cabin on Seven Seas Navigator from £4,125 per person to £2,578 on a 10-night flycruise departing on January 30. The ship will call at San Jose, Aruba and San Juan and sail through the Panama Canal.
