Princess Cruises to launch new superliner – 11 June 2007

Princess Cruises has announced its new 3,100 passenger ship Ruby Princess will begin sailing in the Caribbean next year.

The Ruby Princess, which will launch next November, will be the sister ship to Emerald Princess which launched in April.

The new superliner will start its inaugural season with a series of seven-day Caribbean sailings from Fort Lauderdale, taking in the islands of Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Cozumel and Princess’s resort in the Bahamas, Princess Cays.

Princess Cruises’ head of brand marketing Pieter van der Schee said the company’s new superliners offered a greater choice of entertainment and dining.

“Ruby Princess will be a stylish backdrop for our guests to enjoy the sun and fun of the Caribbean,” he said.
