QE2’s final voyage sold out in 36 minutes – 3 July 2007

Tickets for Queen Elizabeth 2’s final voyage sold out in just over 36 minutes with passengers spending more than £3 million to snap up places before the ship is converted into a floating hotel.

The ship will embark on its last journey from Southampton on November 11 on a 16 day crossing to Dubai, where it will take up residence at Palm Jumeirah after being sold for £50.5 million.

A spokesman for Cunard said there are still a number of cabins available for the last Atlantic crossings in October.
