SPECIALIST operator Prestige Holidays is to launch a dedicated brochure to New England early in 2000.
Deputy managing director John Dixon said the programme will cover six states and aims to carry 750 passengers in the first year.
“We included New England as an add-on to our Bermuda programme but after going to a conference in Boston last year I thought we could expand in the region,” he said.
Single-centre, short-break, flydrive and self-drive tours are included along with tailor-made itineraries.
Dixon said he spent a month travelling 5,000 miles across the region inspecting potential accommodation for the programme. The operator will be using flights with British Airways and American Airlines.
Meanwhile, Hampshire-based Prestige has increased its number of preferred agents from 1,100 to 1,400.
