Turkey and Northern Cyprus specialist Tulip Holidays has begun using Comtec’s Travelink system in order to improve its online booking service, increase its business via trade channels and improve efficiency.
The London-based operator is using Travelink to manage and selling its contracted accommodation and preferred flight suppliers, via Travelink’s direct link into Galileo.
Tulip Holidays director Nancy Sökmen said the £30,000 investment was part of the company’s strategy to push more sales online.
Within a year the firm hopes to increase online sales by about 50%. “Every day I check the web sales and everyday I see them going up, so I’m sure we’ll reach our target,” she said.
Tulip Holidays is also developing an agents’ channel with the system, she said.
The Travelink platform also powers Tulip’s online booking module, which offers search and book services for flight-only, accommodation-only and package holidays created on demand.
