First Choice is enlisting the help of famous children’s entertainment characters Bob the Builder, Fireman Sam and Pingu in an effort to sell its family holidays.
The tour operator has signed a deal with HIT Entertainment, which own the rights to a number of popular children’s characters, so it can enhance the appeal of its packages to families with young children.
Six HIT characters will make an appearance across First Choice’s nine Holiday Villages and Kids Academy properties from May 2008.
Jeannette Linfoot, First Choice Holidays product director, said: “Having the characters from HIT Entertainment will really give our Holiday Villages and Kids Academies a boost. They are charming characters and I know they will be a hit with parents, children and staff.”
Other HIT characters included in the First Choice deal are Angelina Ballerina, Thomas and Friends and Barney and Friends.
