BACKCHAT hopes SeaFrance sales manager Paul Mould has recovered after the ferry operator’s dinner at Maison Novelli in London on Monday night.
The unwitting Paul was the victim of magician Etienne Pradier, who went from table to table throughout the evening.
When he came to Backchat’s table, he asked Paul to take off his dinner jacket and then put a lighted cigarette through it. But when we looked, not only was there no hole, but there was also no cigarette much to the angst of Paul, who spent the rest of the evening worrying that he might go up in flames.
