Hotelopia expands into Japan and Australasia – 21 Aug 2007

Online hotel booking company Hotelopia has expanded into Japan and Australasia, bringing its portfolio of hotels to 25,000 in 900 destinations.


Rooms are now bookable on the website in Tokyo, Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland.


Hotelopia, owned by First Choice, has also announced a 30% growth in sales for July compared to the same time last year.


Hotelopia sales and marketing director Sotiris Damianos said: “Hotelopia has undergone significant growth and change over recent months, having launched new airline partnerships with Zoom Airlines and Wizz Air as well working on the development of additional, innovative products.


“Our expansion into Japan and Australasia provides a tremendous opportunity to compete in destinations with a strong tourism focus and enhances our global hotel portfolio.”
