Avro adds extra flights to Canary Islands for Christmas period – 24 Aug 2007

Avro is adding extra flights from Birmingham and Glasgow to the Canary Islands to meet Christmas and new year demand.

The move will see two additional flights each to Tenerife, Lanzarote and Gran Canaria from Birmingham Airport, two extra flights from Glasgow Airport to the same destinations. The flights will cover the Christmas and new year period.

Prices lead in at £229 return for a Birmingham Lanzarote flight.

Avro managing director Michael Vinales said: “With so many of our customers now owning their own place in the sun or lucky enough to have friends or family who do, we are seeing increasing demand for Christmas and new year departures.

“Agents are also telling us they need the additional flights to meet the dynamic packaging demand.”

The seat-only operator is offering agents access to more than four million commissionable seats for summer 2008 through its dedicated link to Monarch’s scheduled stock.
