American Airlines is to offer a second daily route from Stansted to New York JFK airport from April next year.
The carrier has already announced plans for a new service on the route from October 29. The second daily flight, from April 8 2008, will mean passengers have the choice of a morning or late afternoon flight from Stansted and an early or late evening flight from New York.
It is offering passengers the chance to book flights out of Stansted and return to Heathrow, where American Airlines already operates six daily services to JFK.
In May next year the carrier is to offer two new routes to New York JFK from Milan and Barcelona.
