A total of 80 agents have signed up to the Elite Travel Group annual conference in Jerez, southern Spain.
The event, now in its 30th year, is to be attended by potential new members as well as existing ones. Elite will be launching new commission deals, computer technology and ATOL-protected tailor-made packaging. Themes will include global warming and the Government’s impact on the retail travel sector.
Chairman Neil Basnett said: “We are set to have the best attendance from our membership ever. It means that suppliers and operators will be talking to travel agents who sell their products.”
Jo Cameron, one of the contestants on BBC’s The Apprentice, will be talking about competing in business and how she reacted to being ‘fired’ by Sir Alan Sugar.
