Travelscope has expanded its River Cruise collection with the addition of 12 new itineraries, taking the total to 32, and five more vessels.
The brochure features Europe’s most popular waterways, including the Rhine, Moselle and Danube, but adds some lesser-known options for 2008.
New cruises include an eight-day trip from Seville on the Guadalquivir and Guadiana rivers in Spain and Portugal, with calls including Cadiz, Cordoba and Vila Real, and an option to visit either Gibraltar or Tangier, from £899 per person full board including flights and transfers.
There is also a six-day Duoro River cruise from Porto calling at Regua, Pinhão and Vega de Terrón, from where there is an optional excursion to Salamanca, from £699 per person full board including flights and transfers.
The programme now features 12 river boats, with the Belle de Cadix and Fernão de Magalhães in Southern Europe among the new vessels.
Prices on the programme, out this month (September), start from £109 per person for a four-day Amsterdam Christmas shopping tour with travel by coach and ferry.
