Norwegian Cruise Line is gearing up for the launch of Norwegian Gem by giving the ship a dedicated website and personality.
‘Gem’ is described as an ‘It’ girl and even has her own blog and a partnership with iTunes, with her own favourite playlist.
Visitors to the site can join in with the interactive features which include a create-your-own-avatar and become an ‘It’ girl and a friend of Gem. There are also deck plans and information on rooms and facilities on board the 2,466-passenger ship.
Last week the US site, gemitgirl.com was launched and a UK version is expected to go live next week when the ship arrives in Dover for its inaugural celebrations.
