TOO many holidaymakers are still locked into the ‘late-bargain’ mentality and are not heeding messages to book early, Cresta has warned.
The short-break specialist said the problem is leading to customers having to settle for second choice or even third choice accommodation at Disneyland Paris.
Speaking at the launch of its 2000 Disneyland brochure, brand manager Christine Prudence said: “Demand for on-site accommodation for peak season often exceeds supply and this has had the effect of restricting growth during 1999. We need to encourage UKvisitors to book early to guarantee the hotel and date of their choice. Many are both surprised and disappointed when they are told there is no availability.”
Prudence said new attractions such as the Tarzan Encounter Show in Frontierland will add to the problems as repeat visitors are expected to return to Disneyland.
In a bid to encourage early bookers, the operator has introduced a kids go free all year offer for bookings made before December 23.
Prices with the free offer start at £504 for two adults and one child staying two nights at the Hotel Santa Fe.
