ANTO starts winter sports campaign


THE AUSTRIAN National Tourist Office has launched a winter sports poster campaign along major traffic routes in and around London.



The initiative was timed to coincide with the London Ski Show this month.



Meanwhile, ANTO’s director for UK and Ireland Oskar Hinteregger said that more than £1m had been invested in upgrading ski facilities and adding new cable cars for the coming season.



The tourist office claims a survey of tour operators based on bookings and booking intentions suggests a 13% rise in UK visitors is likely this winter. Last winter, UK visitors rose by 11% to nearly 249,000.
