Holiday Options has seen a surge in demand for properties in Sardinia and Sicily on the back of the BBC’s Mediterranean Escapes.
In the TV series, celebrity chef Rick Stein travels through the Med to discover places that inspired him to make a career out of cooking, including the popular Italian islands.
Holiday Options sales and marketing director Rupert Diggins said: “Since the recent Rick Stein TV series, we’ve seen an increase in interest in Sardinia and Sicily. Both our Sardinian and Sicilian experience holidays include local food and wine tastings, cookery and authentic meals.”
The operator has added a new flight from Norwich to Alghero in Sardinia for summer 2008.
Prices lead in at £579 per person for the seven-night Sardinian Experience tour, including flights, transfers, all meals, excursions, activities and accommodation in the four-star Hotel Corallo.
