Avis has appointed a corporate social responsibility manager to help reduce the group’s environmental impact.
Jason van Zuydam will focus on increasing corporate responsibility by completing an audit and setting environmental targets for all areas of Avis’s business.
Avis Europe human resources and corporate affairs director Lesley Colyer said: “We have many environmental initiatives throughout our European operations. Jason’s
appointment will help us consolidate these activities into a common framework to ensure they are as effective as possible in meeting our long-term environmental goals.
“His experience will help us to lead the industry in best practice.”
Van Zuydam said: “Avis offered me the opportunity to strengthen the company’s strong commitment to the environment and to drive significant changes at this international
business.”
