Eurostar commences passenger services from St Pancras International today.
The first passenger train is due to depart at 11.06am, bound for Brussels, while the first arrival of a passenger service is expected at 11.07am, also from Brussels.
Meanwhile the Government has been criticised for failing to plan what to do with the empty Waterloo International terminal, despite knowing of the changes for three years.
The Waterloo platforms, the longest in Britain, are to be maintained at a cost of £500,000 a year. Converting them for domestic service use would cost about £5 million.
