OVP Travel drops £100 per week off hotels for 2008

All the prices in OVP Travel’s 2008 Collection programme are lower than summer 2007.

Sales and operations director Nigel Harris said prices have been cut by about £100 per week on all of the accommodation specialist’s 500-plus properties during the high season.

This has been achieved through increasing property and passenger volumes and decreasing margins. Dropping car hire as part of the package has also helped reduce prices.

He added with sales increasing by 30% to date this year, as well as taking more than 1,000 agents on fam trips since the company’s birth three years ago, he expects 2008 to bring more growth.

Harris said: “The expansion has been thanks to the flexibility we offer customers and because agents know the quality of our product.”

Prices lead in at £40 per property per night.
