Barrhead Travel has announced plans to open four new shops in Scotland, bringing the number of outlets to 12.
Managing director Sharon Munro said the travel agency has secured a lease in Glasgow’s new Silverburn Shopping Centre while a second store will be opened in Edinburgh’s St James Centre in time for the January peak sales market.
Contracts for two other shops are also being finalised and details will be released once they have been signed and sealed.
Munro said: “This expansion is part of the strategy to have retail outlets in major population centres throughout Scotland. We want to offer customers the chance to buy our holidays either by phone, on the web sites or now in person in our shops.
“For our tour operator partners and suppliers this reinforces our ability to offer an efficient distribution channel throughout all regions in Scotland.”
