Cruise liner sinking in Antarctic

A rescue operation is currently underway in the South Shetland Islands after the MV Explorer reportedly hit a object in the Antarctic Ocean.


150 passengers and staff have been evacuated and are in lifeboats.


The captain and first officer are reported to be onboard. British coastguards are helping to co-ordinate the rescue operation.
