Lincoln takes up post left open by Welch

DISNEYLAND Paris has promoted account manager Tony Lincoln to head of commercial affairs to replace Peter Welch.

Lincoln took up the position last week after Welch left to join Spanish company Occidental Hoteles (Travel Weekly, October 18). Lincoln’s new responsibilities will be to consolidate and develop the distribution of the Disneyland Paris product through key travel agents and tour operator partners.

Meanwhile, Disneyland Paris has introduced packages based on sailings from P&OPortsmouth in its second-edition brochure. Prices start from £206 for the crossing, one-night at the Hotel Santa Fe and two days’ entry into the park.

n Euro Disney is issuing shares worth £146.8m to help pay for a second theme park at Disneyland Paris. It is arranging loans to complete the project’s financing, which is forecast at £390m.
