Tour operators for gay and lesbian travel merge

Gay and lesbian travel specialists Respect Holidays and Sensations Holidays have merged to create one of Europe’s largest specialist tour operators.

Respect’s parent company Lidana Limited will take over full operational responsibility for the management of both brands from its offices in Camden, North London.

Respect Holidays managing director Paul Kilcoyne said: “With more customers purchasing holidays over the internet, Respect and Sensations have both seen an explosion in sales coming from as far as North America, Australia and Russia. By working together, we can take advantage of these global opportunities.”

The merger will increase the companies’ buying power enabling them to offer better deals, he added.

Both companies will continue to offer Mykonos, Gran Canaria, Ibiza and Sitges, while Respect offers accommodation only and package holidays to Tenerife, Vancouver, Whistler, Toronto, Montreal, Quebec and Nova Scotia. Holidays will continue to be bookable on both www.respect-holidays.co.uk and www.sensationsholidays.com.
