BP launches homeworker brochure service

BP Travel Marketing Services has introduced a version of its brochure ordering service allowing homeworkers to order small numbers of brochures.

A total of 35 tour operators, including Superbreak, Hoseasons, Inghams and Virgin Holidays, have agreed to support a homeworker edition of BP’s www.trade-gate.co.uk brochure ordering service, offering single copies and small supplies only.

Passwords have been sent to 1,300 homeworkers.

The move comes in response to a survey which showed that homeworkers use brochures and wanted a formal ordering facility for one or two at a time to avoid wastage. More than 80% said e-brochures could not replace conventional brochures.

BP director of sales and marketing Steve Martin said: “Many of our clients have joined us in recognising the growing importance of the home workers sector, as have the increasing number of consumers who use them for their travel arrangements. Our new service means that home workers will no longer have to employ cloak and dagger tactics to obtain brochures for customers.”
