Star chef Nobu to attend restaurant openings on Crystal Symphony

World-class chef Nobuyuki ‘Nobu’ Matsuhisa will be on board Crystal Cruises Symphony in March to open two new restaurants.

Nobu has created Silk Road and The Sushi Bar in partnership with the luxury cruise operator.

Nobu will oversee the launch of both restaurants at the start of Crystal Symphony’s Hong Kong to Beijing cruise on March 21.

Occupying the former Jade Garden space, Silk Road and The Sushi Bar will accommodate a total of 68 guests and will be open most evenings.

Nobu began working with Crystal Cruises in 2003 when his menu was served on board Crystal Serenity.

Crystal Cruises vice president of sales and  marketing for Europe Philip Ordever said: “Like Nobu, we share a deep appreciation of discovering the world and its people through food, and we look forward to presenting our savvy clientele with yet another new dimension of choice and excellence.”
