Louis Cruise Lines offers agents 15% commission

Louis Cruise Lines  is working closely with the trade for the first time and offering 15% commission on all of its cruises.

The Greek-based company has launched  its full range of Mediterranean cruises for 2008 and UK manager Peter Adamou said he wants to work with agents who can package up its cruise only product.

He said: ““We are cruise specialists, not flight experts.  We want to work closely with the trade, who can book our cruises in conjunction with any charter, low-cost or scheduled flight.  That gives agents the flexibility to create standalone cruise holidays or to combine a Louis cruise with other holiday arrangements.”

The main 2008 programme is a series of three, four and seven-day itineraries out of Athens and there is also a choice of week-long and 10-day sailings in both the Eastern and Western Mediterranean departing from Marseilles and Genoa.

The cruise line’s website will be developed with additional content and online booking facilities for the trade.

“We want to work in partnership with agents and personal contact is important to us. We have no desire to become a tour operator,” said Adamou.

The company is also in the final stages of recruiting two business development managers and a trade support team in the London office.

Agents requiring further information or brochures are encouraged to ring Louis Cruise Line’s freephone number 0800 0183883.
