Independent travel agency Eton Travel has signed a five-year agreement to receive content from Travelport-owned global distribution system Gaileo.
The agency, which has two branches in Eton and Wokingham and two implants in Cambridge, has ditched rival GDS Sabre and will now work with Galileo.
Eton Travel managing director Ken Thompson said: “After three years with Sabre we reviewed our GDS arrangements and invited all the GDS companies to pitch for our business. Travelport’s Galileo GDS was chosen as they really impressed not only the senior management team but also the front line staff with their leading products, technology and UK based service and support.”
Travelport GDS, UK and Ireland general manager Patrick Lukan said: “Eton Travel operates to a very high standard and it’s fantastic news that they have chosen Travelport GDS as a key partner to help them to grow and develop their business.”
