Royal Caribbean’s virtual training success

Royal Caribbean Cruise Line has seen more than 300 agents take part in its virtual classroom training programme.

Since December, the Cruising for Excellence training team has been on hand to host the online events with agents, mostly homeworkers, to give them tips on the cruiseline’s booking system, Cruisematch Online.

Royal Caribbean UK training manager Michelle Russell said that the response from agents has been great and they held one training session late in the evening.

She said: “The homeworkers have been fantastic, we even held a session at 9pm one night. They love the fact it doesn’t impact on their day and they are relaxed and able to concentrate more.”

In the virtual classroom, around 20 agents a time can log in or phone in to hear exactly how things work. The training team talks through the system and can hand over for the agents to take control.

Royal Caribbean Cruise Line is also hosting a number of face to face training events throughout March and April.
