Kendell Airlines has introduced a three-day Tasmanian Marsupial Safari which includes weekly flights from Melbourne across the Tasman Sea to Devonport. It features a guided tour of Trowunna Wildlife Park to see animals such as the Tasmanian Devil and also visits the Arctic Beech rainforest. It costs around £288 per person twinshare and includes two nights’ full-board accommodation, guides, boat trip and entrance fees to parks.
A Waterways and Wilderness Trail has been developed in Huon Valley in south Tasmania and features four itineraries – the Great Southern Ocean Drive, Southern Forest Drive, D’Entrecasteaux Marine Drive and Gourmet’s Delight. Signage has been set up throughout the region giving details of its history and flora and fauna.
